Trend Overview
Over the last year we’ve seen a growing bond between Scandinavian and Japanese styles – a natural fusion that’s grounded by a dedication to craftsmanship and simplicity.
By restricting the palette to largely neutral shades, form and function are brought to the fore in this space. Wood finishes are allowed to remain beautifully untreated and clean lines across larger pieces of furniture add structure and discipline. Subtle references to traditional Japanese crafts are introduced through delicate ceramics, whilst softer Nordic notes can be found through living greenery and textured fabrics.
